Love you a Latte!

This is the card I made with my new stamps-from pink by design I had the perfect little stamp to go along with this cute little saying. I used my cricut and cut out the back ground for the card. I embossed it, punched out the saying and latte with an EK punch, a few hearts from George, and used my watercolor pencils to color in the cup. I added stickles to the whip cream and one of the hearts. Inside is a gift card for my husband to Starbucks!

(We were very excited to get them we didn't have anything like them). You can see the rest of the stamp sets I chose and all the other funny ones at

Here are my projects...the first is a little hanging I made for Valentines Day. Its my two youngest this summer at the park. They hold hands every where. Even in the car, its so cute to see them in their matching little car seats holding hands! I wanted to remember this time when they are still young and like each other, I'm sure as they get older sibling rivalry will rear its ugly head!

I also made a lay out, have I mentioned how much I love this Owl punch? I cut out the background paper and layered it onto a solid card stock, I inked the edges with tea stain from Tim Holts, and smooched over that. I used Classic Cricut font and welded my letters on my gypsy. "I love you -THIS much" is some thing my grandpa used to do to me when I was little- now I say it to my kids.

Owl clip holder

First let me tell you this is a LONG post- very winded and lots of pictures. I dont mind at all if you skip over my babble and look at the pictures. They are much more fun, and Im sure I am not the first person to come up with this idea, clip holders are every where, in all shapes and sizes. This is just my take on one. With that said.. I keep hearing from my Bestie that I need to hang my little girl's clips. That they are easier to find and you can see what you have. To give you some background, my Bestie is a "Gymboree Mom". And like any best friend, she turned me on to all things Gymboree. Let me tell you that can be a little problem when you have 2 adorable little girls, and 2 teenagers (adorable too) that eat holes in your pocketbook! -I like to dress the little ones in matching stuff, or at least from the same line... you either know what I'm talking about or are saying same line? What the heck?? Yes, I have a problem(- my big kids tell me so-) they are NOT twins and should not be made to look alike but they are only going to let me dress them for so long! OK- back to the Owls. Following Bestie's advice I decided I would try to make two- one for each girl- for all the matching bows and curly ribbons. Here is a peek at the room, it has an owl theme.........
( you can find it online at Target. I love it.)

So here is how I started. I got out my gypsy and purple cricut. Cut out an owl from Create A Critter as large as I could fit on my 12X12 mat. I used white paper, and  made the pattern. Then gave it to my husband with the following instructions. "Cut 2 please."
When he came home I had cut out some cute little owls in colors that would match the bedroom and was all ready to go. I tested them out to make sure they would fit the wood background he made them.....
And they fit!!! Oh my gosh! Did you see how cute they are!!!  Then I painted the edges with some cream craft paint.....

Uh oh... did you see the babies! Thoes are for another post! They are adorable. Here is the pink one all modge podged.... I had some issues with her, and am sorry to say she didnt make it. I guess I needed a refresher corse on how to podge, because she wrinkled all up and looked a mess.

After they dried, I cut orange ribbon in 2 foot lengths and hot glued it to the back of the owl. I burned the ribbon edges for fraying reasons, and hung her up!! Here she is!
I wont be back for a day or so- Going to work on my BLog hop projects and the little baby owls- Please come back this weekend for a great hop- I will be giving away some blog candy!!

Winter challenge

I did another card for a winter/cold challenge over at www.scrapbookaholicbyabby.
I used Just Because cards for the base and back ground- then I embossed the blue background with a cuttle bug folder. I used winter frolic for the snowman and some We r memory keepers paper from Tiffany's scrapbook pad. I also used my heat gun and embossed some snowflakes on him.

Challenge over at staying crafty.

I entered a challenge over at www./stayingcrafty.blogspot.com  it was fun for me to look around my space to try to alter something. Here were her guidelines: "Create a project that has some type of theme wedding. anniversary , Valentines, Etc. It also has to have something to do with wrapping a gift, or holding something like Valentine cards or candy. You can make a bag, a box, a tag, etc. You can alter an existing item or make something from scratch. There are a lot of possibilities here!  No cards or scrapbook pages." My Theme is my scrap space colors. I wanted to alter an existing item, and make it fit its space better for me. I used my husbands change box. I love the fact it is a vintage glass box, but it was in my space and a little boring( and MESSY). It also didn't do anything to do with scrapping, and after all this is my little hobby niche. So I decided to make it match. It is now holding my seasonal carts!

A little keepsake of Iyla

I wanted to show you a little easy craft I made for Iyla (Eye-lah) She is my baby- My last. I wanted her little hand to hang above her baby picture in my craft area, so I found some paper that went with the space, and a thrift store frame- I spray painted black, inked her little hand up and pressed the image onto white card stock. Then layered it onto the patterned paper, I used my cricut and George to cut out the font, but you could use stickers if you don't have a cricut. I love it. Its sweet, and simple.

Love Notes

Here is a layout I just did for this Valentines Day. I used a die cutting machine at my local craft store to cut out the pink circle, then I edged it in brown stays on ink- I used Gypsy Font for the letters of the title and doodled with my white pen. Create a Critter for the postage stamp card and my gypsy- I welded two together and wrote a little love note inside for her. I also used a cuttle bug folder to emboss the background for the love note, tied it off with a ribbon-just in case she wants to read it someday.

In my drawers!

Ok- With EmmaLu not wanting to rest properly yesterday I did not get much done. She wanted to count everything in my stash. In English then in Spanish(geeze smarty pants)! I had a lot of putting away after she was done because I cant create in chaos-by the time I was all finished. I was tired and ready for a nap-don't know why she wasn't! So I thought Id show you how I store my wooden stamps, I just started stamping this summer so I don't have a huge collection of them, but here is one of the 2 drawers I have- My husband made them for me, if my collection gets any bigger(hehehe) he will have to make me more!

Any one have any good ideas about storing stamps that are not out in the open for little fingers? I would hate to walk in here and find out they have been turned little flying objects when I wasnt looking. Out of sight is out of mind for the little girls here.

Grow Layout

When I have pics I love its hard for me to make layouts that might take the focus away from my memories, so I try to make them simple, sweet, and make sure they add to the pictures instead of the pictures adding to the layout.
With that said: My pictures are from this summer, and I love them. I used Just Because cards, recollections paper- some bling and ribbon. Simple and sweet

little card

For this little card I used Martha Stewart Valentines paper, and layered it on to recolections pink cardstock. I used Indie Art for the bird, and Once Upon A Princess for the card base. My base is the recollections cardstock I inked the edges, then layered the MS. paper after I embossed it, and rubbed Tim Holts Tea Dye ink on it. Then the bird, popped up the Stampin' up saying added some bling to the sides and was done!

Sweet Magnolia Rose new studio!

Apples

This lay out was made with scraps I had in my stash. I inked everything, and added a few brads at the top and bottom of the apple border.

Scrappy Moms Teriffic Tuesday Challenge

Here is a little card I made tonight for Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge.  I didn't have the cart. they were using, but I used a banner and a bird from another card so it was inspired I guess. It wasn't dry that's why its hanging here off of my boxes... its getting late, and its still wet. Well, here ya go -have a look-see....

As you can see I welded two shapes for the background again, I used Jolly Hollidays for the banner, and the bird(er um penguin). Cut out Love in Classic Cricut font in chunky style. layered her up, got out my white pen, tossed on some stickles...and its raining love on this little guy!
