A Peachy Keen Layout

Hi all my crafty friends! I had taken a little break to spend the holidays with my family. But now I'm back with a layout for the Peachy Keen layout challenge! Im a scrapbook-er at heart so this challenge was one of my favorites! Here is my layout... I used My Minds Eye patterned paper with some coordination card stock for the little squirrel.   He also has some Peachy Keen eyes, Wide Eyed kids 1 1/8". I just taped off the mouth and nose prior to stamping on the ink pad, then removed the tape from the stamp so there wasn't any ink transfer or smudges.

Tips for Tuesday

Happy Tuesday everyone! Im  SO excited!  I am  a guest designer  at My-O-Scrappin for my friend Shannon- on Tuesdays she has a tips day. You should check it out. We were talking this past weekend and she asked me if I would like to share a tip today! So here is my tip, need to add a little color to your project? Missing  a little something, but dont have the right bling color? Do you have a regular colored  pearl? Well pull out your Copics and color one to match your design! I tried this the other day and just loved the result! You will too!

**Warning** I just want to let you all know this is my first video- Now I feel like a Gigantic Windbag. Just be warned. Tthere is a lot of annoying talking and no editing!!!! Yikes! Maybe I can talk one of the big kids into teaching me how to edit... but they are not home...Anywho- I thought I would show those of you some of how I can keep all my supplies and share this room with all 4 of my kids. It really is the hang out spot here and the couch is very well loved. They all hang out on the couch and use the desk area for homework when we are not crafting :) If you want to know how I store a certain item away from the kids, just ask... Ill take a pic for you.

Peachy Keen and Crafty Sprouts!

I made this card to go along with the challenge over at Peachy Keen, but I couldn't resist adding a Crafty Sprouts sentiment! The challenge is sketch challenge with a twist...

So I had to use the sketch and the twist, (you have to paper piece.) I used a large snowman stamp and paper pieced  the scarf, bow and present in two different papers, the hat and trim on the hat-the holly here is a close up of the cuts...

I also used  red Stickles for the holly berries, and Crystal Stickles for the dots on the present- the ribbon is 3 girls Jam  the perfect touch for this card! The sentiment is Crafty Sprouts from the "Have a Cool Yule" set.

Today we are all going to be showing a calendar of some

type. The project I made is a count down calendar for my

little kids for Christmas. I started at 25 and will count down

25 days to we hit the last tag, witch would be Christmas

day- My kids are old enough to understand that there is an

anticipation of an upcoming event but not old enough to

count the "sleeps" (as Emma says) to reaching the day they

are waiting for. So I hope this helps!! :) Here are a few of

the days so far.

This paper was from the kit I received from Paper Primper Altered Art  I love this kit, the paper was so fun and perfect for so many projects! I inked all the edges, and used a Peachy keen face from Winter faces pk521.

Decorate To Celebrate! Month long Birthday Party for Amy and Rhonda!

Decorate To Celebrate!

Good morning my scrappy friends, it is my guest design day over at Decorate to Celebrate! It is a birthday party all month long with both Amy and Rhonda having birthdays in November- So please come on over and join in the challenge!!! Here is my project, I made a tag tree and table decorations for my step dads birthday party. we had about 80 people there, I wanted an option for people other than the guest book. I made up a bunch of tags with a ribbon and flowers attached to match his party colors and had the guest pen a note or a birthday wish. We used red carnations for the center of each table... there were 11, and we put little birthday flags in them. He is the baby of 17 children, born in Holland- he moved here when he was just out of school. Happy Birthday Jimte! Come on over to Decorate to Celebrate and join in if you can. You still have time.. It closes on November 29th!

You can find these stamps and the sets we shared yesterday here- I was so over the moon when I saw the Fanpire set.. I have a few teenage girls in my life that have been waiting to see the movie so I thought I would make a few little bookmarks with a pocket on the back to hold some tickets to the new movie! Here it is!
here is a close up-please be kind- its the first time I ever used Copics! I also added some MS glitter to her eyes for some eye shadow and a glaze pen to her lips, the ribbing on her top and  her boots.
Here is my second card with the Feeling Icky set- I used Create a Critter, welded the two lady bugs together with my Gypsy. Then added PK princess faces, chalk, white pen and a glaze pen. For the inside I used some spellbinders dies to make the sentiment pop a little.
