Thank you Peachy Keen!!
I got another package today... It was from The Peachy Keen blog hop for Kathy's birthday! I won some Glamour dust! I want to say THANK YOU to Peachy Keen- they have some of my favorite stamps over there- make sure you check them out at www.peachykeen.com
Peachy Keen has a great list of ladies who have wonderful blogs that inspire me everyday. Thank you again, and I hope Kathy had a wonderful Birthday.
The Glamour Dust I received came in Turquoise Sparkle, Tiger Orange, Celebration Pink, and Limelight! I had never used these before and I had never seen them at my local craft store, so I feel like I got a very special treat!! I hurried and grabbed a layout I was working on, and started to dust it with glamour. I thought I would show you the before and after so you could see what the Celebration pink looked like. I applied it to cream DCWV card stock.
I was impressed by the drying time, it was very fast and it tinted the card stock lightly while adding just a layer of glimmery shine! I love it. Do you have Glamour dust? If So what colors do you reach for most?

Halloween Layout
First let me apologize for my lack of photo skills. I can take a decent picture of my kids but somehow these layouts have me struggling- so here is the best I can do for now. I will practice and get better- I promise.
I wanted to share a layout I did for my oldest daughter. I used some old paper I had as well as some I just got this year, its a hodgepodge of stuff I had. Added a little Martha spider web punch, and even a recycled Halloween card she got from her Grandma. I wanted to do this 2 page so I could split the picture of her and her cousin playing with the "pumpkin guts". Let me know what you think.. this was one of my first layouts in 10 years!!

Where I play
I thought I would post a few pics of where I get my craft on- I love to see other peoples space, so I thought I would share mine. I don't have my own craft room, the kids want to keep the playroom- and we have a 4 bd room house, with 4 kids! So, for a while at least, I have to use the space I have in my master bedroom, and make do. I have previously posted my husband made me a craft space last Thanksgiving- This is my standing space, it is counter top height, and you need a stool it sit there. I love the space it gives with the depth of the counter and the drawers are really deep. On the shelf is my New Cricut- and under cover is my baby bug- the personal cricut. I am a sucker for pics of my kids, and their artwork touches that little spot in my heart so I try to keep handy anything they make- There is Emma's bird picture she made with Stampin Up punches, and her hand print plate she made this summer. In the baskets I keep my cameras, cords and chargers, also My Gypsy box- on the selves I keep some books extra albums, and in boxes, Stamps, ink, cutting tools, and photos. My son is sitting at my little desk- my husband also built this. and the white shelf with my carts, punches and tiny TV. I have a book shelf to the right of the desk it is a solid piece I keep my purple cow, and texture boutique- with the little folders in the purple boxes. Well Here it is. Nothing fancy but it works for the kids and myself! We get in here and spend some quality time as often as we can.
Merry Christmas!!
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas- We did in our house. I spent some time putting away, and organizing all the gifts I got and let the kids play by themselves (with out me following them around the house picking up after them) They had lots to keep them entertained. I was a very lucky mom this Christmas. My son got me a very thoughtful gift and my oldest daughter got me crafty stuff. I also got a Purple Cricut Expression and a Gypsy! 4 new carts, and paper! Then, the surprise gift a new lap top. So my oldest kids each get a new laptop too!!! (after I take all my pictures off) They are super excited and are waiting for me to get to cleaning the hard drive. I know I have lots to do! I am going to set up all my new goodies in my crafty area and start to post on my new laptop! Pics to come soon! Thanks for hanging in there with me I'll be back soon!

Welcome to my blog!
I am a mother to 4 cute little kiddos- Who give me quite a lot of scrap fodder. I hadn't scrapped in 10 years when last fall for a Thanksgiving surprise- my hubby built me my very own space away from the kids- and told me I should start crafting- I think he actually said "you need a HOBBY!" I was a little shocked at first and would sit in my quiet chair and think.... what is EmmaLu getting into? Did Hubby feed the baby? Does Bubba ( my 13 yr old) have a ortho apt? It was stressful to give up some control over the kids like that. I couldnt create anything... So I would re- organize what little stuff I had found in storage. And cruze blogs! I must say I had a wonderful time learning all kinds of new things and what new products were out today! Ive had my little quiet spot for a little over a year, and have decided to start a blog, with help of some friends who will guest post, I hope to get craftier- make new friends, and have FUN! I came up with the name for my blog -you had me a scrap- because of the push I got from my husband to get back into crafting.
The first project I will show you is something my Emmalu made. She is 2 and this was her first piece. She had a great time. She arranged them by color and called them bird families. I said to her "boy that sure is beautiful. You are doing a great job." she responded. "awww, they are so cute! My little bird families!" So that is what we named her first masterpiece. "Bird Families." It is worthy of some blog time and possibly a frame too!
