Crafting Frenzy~

I went on a card making frenzy!~ (CLICK THE PICS TO MAKE THEM LARGER AND CLEAR :)I was asked to make a card for a little boy, and making his card set my creative mojo in motion. I pulled out my Pink By Design stamps and grabbed the set called Oh BOY! and made both star cards and the hot air balloon card. The paper on the balloon card is Imaginisce I love their paper!  Then I reached for my Sympathy set also by Pink By Design and made the flower card with a Stampin Up stamp and punch set. The cup cake card was also made with Stampin Up punch and a saying from the set Be Mine from Pink by Design. The last thing I made was for my craft room. I used an old frame and covered it in paper to match my color scheme in here, then added a little ribbon and a stamp from the Be Mine set. I love it. Its one of my favorite pictures of my first and last babies! Happy crafting everyone! Hope it is a sun shiney day where you are!

2nd Easter Layout for Emma

Here is the second page of Emma's Easter layout. I used the same lines from We R memory keepers and some stickles for the letters. I wanted to say sorry for my pictures, I have a Nikon D40, but for some reason it will not give me clear crisp pictures. There are not any camera stores where I live I need to make a trip to Seattle to see if it needs to be serviced. If you have one, and have any idea why it is doing this please HELP! I am going to pull out my older camera til this gets taken care of.
Thanks for your understanding

Simple little layouts

One of my tricks is to cut out two layouts at a time... with 4 kids this helps keep me going on their scrapbooks. Here is a layout I made while my friend was visiting my craft room. I used create a critter and some recolections paper.

Hair clips for the girls

I made some hair clips for the girls they were really easy. I made them in about 5 minutes! A really quick fix for an outfit I did not buy hair ties for!
I pulled out all the summer clothes I got last year on clearance at Gymboree, and found I had an entire line with no clips!! My girls have long bangs and they have to be tied back. So I whipped this up. Emma loves it and asked me to make her more! I think they will work in a pinch and if they don't have clips to match- I will just make them myself!

Here is what I used...
my Big Shot
Sizzix die "flower Layers"
Blue Felt
Hot glue gun
bobby pin
Pearl bling

This week in my craft studio

Just wanted to give you all and update on the state of craftiness here in my new craft studio....I am busy hanging up shelves, pictures  designing future projects, and watching videos of how to create with my new machine. The eCraft came this week! I thought I would show you a few pictures, and tell you my first impressions.
It comes packaged really well.. REALLY well. There is the double box, a great egg crate type insert that cradles the eCraft, and a plastic type wrap that is pulled off the eCfaft to make sure it doesn't get scratched.
I was impressed with the weight of it... not that its really heavy, ( but it is heaver than my expression) but that the look of it and materials look more durable and long lasting than the plastic cricut shell....
The color is stunning. I chose Pinc. It is a beautiful shade and has a wonderful shine. I feel like I am working with a professional, almost industrial strength tool. That's just not a feeling I get when I pull out the cricut. The only down side I may find right now- personally, is that I have a tendency to misplace small things.... and the SD card is small... I have lost my camera SD card to many times to count and have had to replace it. But that's just me. Storage for the SD cards vs the Cricut carts is sure to be a HUGE space saver.

Here is the little beauty on her new desk... She does take up some room, I have taken some pictures next to a few IRIS paper holders so you can tell the length.
As for the software.... I have down loaded it to my laptop. It was quite simple and fast.(I am remembering how long it took me to download my last Gypsy update with my free carts... YIKES!) I have been looking on line for free SVG files, and have downloaded them to the program, I'm working on learning how that all works! I'm pretty excited to start saving money, if I'm looking for something specific I can just buy that one item, not an entire cart of things I may never use. (This made my husband happy.hehe)
You can check out the eCraft here craftwellusa.com   There are some great videos, an an online community! If you have an eCraft please join me on the site- I would love to see all your cool projects! Lets make the eCraft community a fantastic place to be!
